About Robert
I started as a Cub Scout in Canada and moved on to the local Land Scout Troop in Quebec. At 17 I joined the Canadian Forces and retired in 1993 and moved to Spain. In 1999 with spare time on hand I came across a Help Wanted column for the local British Scout Group in the SUR In English, the rest is history.
As part of the Group for over 23 years now starting as a helper and later the Assistant Cub Scout Leader and taking over as the Leader when she moved to Thailand. As a Cub Scout Leader, I completed my Wood Badge by attending courses back at the Scout Association Headquarters at Gilwell in the UK.
My current position within the Group is that of Group Lead Volunteer, making me responsible for the Leadership Team of the Scout Group and a member of the Trustee Board.
I also am an Explorer Team Member and assist at the Explorer meetings.
