Trustee Board
The Trustees Boards role in the group is to ensure that the following tasks are undertaken and monitored removing some of the additional tasks previously placed on Scouters, enabling them to continue delivering exciting programs for the young people.
Manage money well – we have an excellent Treasurer who will help the leaders manage sectional finances and track the Groups funds. To ensure we have a clear and transparent financial record of all the Groups financial transactions.
Follow Scouts policies and relevant legislation – to help Sections when changes are made to legislation and ensure the Group operates within the current Charities Commission and Scouting’s Rules to enable Scouting to be fun and Safe
Look after buildings, insurance and property – we don’t have a building to maintain but there is a lot of equipment owned by the Group and this need to be correctly recorded and where possible insured, checks made to keep all records up to date.
Manage risks – Section meetings are risk assessed by the leaders at all times, the risks the board will be looking at is on how we can grow in the future to ensure we continue to have a group, so we will be working with Leaders to grow the group and looking at succession planning so that we are prepared for any future changes.
Help the charity to operate well, today and in the future – Following the guidelines of the Charity Commission and Scouting POR. To ensure that we are fully compliant with any changes.
