About James

My Scouting journey began in England when I joined Beavers at a young age. From there, I moved up to Cubs, but just as I was about to be enrolled as a Scout, my family relocated to Spain. Fortunately, in early 1998, I found the 1st Fuengirola Scout Troop and was able to continue my adventure. I progressed through Scouts and then the newly formed Explorer Unit within British Groups Abroad (now known as British Scouting Overseas). After completing Explorers, I moved up to Network.

When I turned 18, one of the Scout Leaders asked if I would like to become an Assistant Scout Leader. During that time, also worked towards my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Awards. I remained in this role for 10 years before deciding to take my training further, becoming the Section Leader for the very same Scout Troop that I had been part of all those years ago!

In addition to this, I have taken on the role of Leadership Team Member, allowing me to assist the group on a broader scale and help ensure that others can have as rewarding an experience as I did.
